  I just moved to California from Arizona and do not have a family doctor yet out here. I called to set up an appointment with Dr. Prattes as a new patient but unfortunately didn't even last 2 minutes with whoever was on the other line representing the office. I called specifically to get the T-Dap shot, being 7 months pregnant and needing the shot. The guy on the phone just argued with me and was disrespectful just stating that no insurance covers the tdap shot and that he has never heard of insurance covering the shot. I'm not the person to argue so i just simply told him my insurance did cover it and my other family members back in Arizona have recently received the shot with it being covered by our insurance, and that I will just call to look for another doctor.
  Very frustrating and never had a doctors office treat me like that!
  More than happy to be a client elsewhere.

  Dr Prattes listens to you. He takes time to call you back with answers. He fits you into a schedule if you have an urgent matter that doesn't require a hospital visit. He's followed up with my illness through all the specialists I've seen. He's genuinely concerned. He doesn't like smoking and likes to bring up the fact you shouldn't smoke (out of love and hope of longevity of his patient). As a warning he is a test fiend he wants to make sure you're ok: that being said if you don't have good insurance don't go to him sometimes insurance don't like to foot the bill. Also, he does resort to prescriptions as a fix.
